I just took the GMAT this week, and scored in the 99th percentile. Not one to pass up a business opportunity, I’m thinking about offering an online GMAT course to help people improve their scores as well. The question is, would people be interested in taking an online course to study the GMAT?

PS If all goes well, I expect to have the monetization widget up by tommorow night. Stay tuned.

1Since starting the job last month, I’ve considered possibly studying for the GMAT in my spare time… just to have options in the future. Setting up an online course, or talking about strategies to do well on the test isn’t a bad idea.

2Well I would imagine the first question to ask would be, “How many other companies are already offering this, how are you going to advertise this, and lastly, why would people choose your course over all the ones that are already out there?”

3I believe that the big test-prep companies (Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc) get their teachers from the select few who score in the 95-99th percentile. If One Man is truly in the 99th percentile, I’d rather take a course which incorporates his insight than one that is taught by someone who only was in the 95th percentile.

4Don’t bother. It’s a flooded market. Besides, the big companies have insiders and professional test takers that constantly scan for new content.

5It’d be nice to see what a GMAT score report in the 99th percentile actually looks like! Upload that bugger, redact the personal info, and satiate us huddled masses!

6Canuck, with pleasure
But there are no huddled masses here. Only highly intelligent people working hard to earn what they deserve.
Great idea though.
