As you know, this week is the OneYearGoal.com Hosting Battle Royale. The Battle Royale is an all out deathmatch between three of the best hosts online in order to determine which is the best one for making money.
Today’s contestent is Blue Host. I currently use Blue Host as my primary hosting solution, and I have to be honest, I’m quite pleased. At $6.95/month it’s reasonably priced, however there is an annoying caveat I will mention below.
My experience with Blue Host has been incredible. I love their service, their servers are quick and responsive. They seem to allow cron jobs, and they place as few restrictions on you as possible. The biggest issue is that unlike other hosts, they require a two year subscription in order to receive the $6.95/price. Overall though, they’re a quality host, and I haven’t heard a single complaint about them.
Blue Host is a great host. While it does have a slight pricing disadvantage, I have little else negative to report about it.

3Yes. Go to Blue Host’s Website and try to sign up. It wants $7.95 if you’re only paying for one year.

4I love bluehost.
I almost switched to dreamhost because they had webdave access, but i am glad I didn’t. I LOVE bluehost support and they now offer webdav.
I now have a Internet Harddrive and the cost beats Box.net xdrive, and Amazon S3

6I must be missing something. Bluehost requires you to pay for 2 years of hosting in advance, right? That’s $6.95 * 24 = $166.80. Why would you pay that much in advance, when you can get excellent hosting for $9.95 a month? What happens if they go out of business in 6 months time?

7You could say that about any service provider but the in my opinion few established companies, ones that have been around since 1996, are likely to collapse in the next two years.
$10 a month for two years is $240. I’d rather save my $70+ and take that risk personally.
But it’s a valid point.
